Our ambition is to bring this beautiful SSSI Ancient Woodland, Hook Wood, into sustainable management to secure it’s social, environmental and historical value for future generations.
After a protracted period of neglect, the woodland needs help to re-establish itself as dynamic, diverse and resilient and for Hook Wood to become a loved, respected, protected and enjoyed resource for its community.
The wood is connected to a corridor of woodland managed for biodiversity. Without support this essential woodland-link will fall into terminal decline.
We have the energy and enthusiasm to bring this woodland back to life to ensure its future. We will work with specialist partners to manage the wood and catalogue its current biodiversity and actively engage our community through several initiatives.
Our aim is for Hook Wood to be accepted as part of National Forest for Wales.

Ar ôl cyfnod hir o esgeulustod, mae’r mae angen help ar goetir i ailsefydlu ei hun fel rhywbeth deinamig, amrywiol a gwydn ac ar gyfer Hook Wood i ddod yn adnodd sy’n cael ei garu, ei barchu, ei warchod a’i fwynhau gan y gymuned.
Mae gennym yr egni a’r brwdfrydedd i ddod â’r coetir hwn yn ôl yn fyw i sicrhau ei dyfodol. Byddwn yn gweithio gyda phartneriaid arbenigol i reoli y goedwig ac yn catalogio ei fioamrywiaeth bresennol ac ymgysylltu’n frwd â’n cymuned trwy sawl menter.
Ein nod yw i Hook Wood gael ei dderbyn fel rhan o Goedwig Genedlaethol Cymru.
